Please note, it takes 6 working days to make
and test a tube, this is due to 4 steps of gluing, then waiting
each time for it to cure, (24 hours).
We do not make inner tubes
out of thinner welded material, we tried it years ago. The
problem is that it is difficult to ensure that the inner tube
totally fills the outer tube on installation. The thinner
inner tube is then overstressed, and fails. usually on a weld,
or seam. |

Fig.1.Leave existing valves in situ, providing they do not project into the
tube.
OR you remove them,
and we put the new valves on the new inner tube to mate up
with the existing
holes.
Fig.2.Cut a vertical 6" (150mm) slot from just above the deck, and a 45mm
diameter
hole along side the cut
Clean the inside of the outer tube with a
vacuum cleaner, particles inside may damage the new inner tubes.
Fig.3.Turn ends of Inner Tube inside out. Thereby reducing a 3 meter tube to 2
meters.
Rub
a piece of chalk over the inner tube seams not all over the tube
Fig.4.Insert the Inner Tube, first in one direction, put valve in hole, insert
remaining Inner Tube.
Fig.5.Ensure there are no Twists in the Inner tube.
Fig.6.Insert Valve core and commence gentle inflation, the inside out tube will
now extend to fill
the chamber

Tubes
are GLUED with a superior marine standard product, in the proven traditional
manner.
Welding reduces the thickness of the material, resulting in a
burst seam if the
inner tube does not totally fill the tube cavity on initial inflation , (and
in our experience,
it never does)
Gemini inner tubes just stretch to fill the tube 100%. The Inner Tubes are so
flexible they
can be folded hundreds of times without cracking or leaking.
We have been supplying inner
tubes since 1988, to clients in Holland,
Germany and the UK with 99.9% successful
installation and operation. (nothing is ever 100%)

Tubes must be
inflated to at least 1.5p.s.i., and the inside of the Outer Tube must be
CLEAN if damage to the inner tube is to be avoided.
You must coat the inner tube with french chalk, or talcum
powder, before installing it. If the inside of the old tube is
damaged in any way, then a carpet of cheap pool liner, 40cm
wide, can be fitted in the chamber. This particularly applies to
the stern chambers, which are subject to a lot of movement. |

tube wrapped around the bow cannot fill the area fully.
Removing the front 2 baffles, means only 4 inner
tubes are needed, saving money.
